Stories of Impact

YTH Camp

A student came to YTH Camp carrying an overwhelming amount of weight. After years of experiencing addiction in her family, depression, and self-harm at home, they had found healing through a relationship with God, but just weeks before camp, everything seemed to unravel. They were diagnosed with a medical condition, and soon after, their parents relapsed into addiction, leaving them discouraged and questioning their faith. Throughout camp, the messages shifted their perspective, reminding them that God is present in every season, and that having faith is not about being perfect, but surrendering to God. At the altar, they fully surrendered their fears and burdens to God and left camp with a renewed sense of peace, carrying the weight of God’s presence instead of the burdens they arrived with.

Serve Day

A lady who served had previously stayed at the Crisis Intervention Center with her children during one of the hardest seasons of her life. On Serve Day, she had the opportunity to return, not as a guest, but to serve the very place that had once served her family. Watching her children joyfully serve alongside her made the experience even more meaningful. She shared that this was their first Serve Day, and she is grateful to Harvest Time for the opportunity to give back to the community.

YTH Camp

A student arrived at YTH Camp carrying the pressure of believing everything had to be planned out and perfect. While trying to navigate life after high school, they struggled to control the future, let go of the past, and truly believe they were worthy of God’s love and purpose. Although they were serving and leading, they felt empty and weren’t expecting camp to change much. Throughout the week, God used the messages and moments of worship to reveal that faith is not about perfection but about surrender, reminding them to trust Him rather than to carry every burden alone. They left camp with a renewed perspective, choosing to surrender their plans to God, trust His faithfulness, and walk forward with peace, even though their circumstances at home had not yet changed.
